Waste 2 Art - Community Workshop

On Display Indefinitely

Waste to Art is a unique program and celebrates the re-use and recycling of waste through art. The purpose is to highlight the waste in everyday life by re-purposing the materials we throw away every day – it is estimated that over 100,000 tonnes of toys are thrown out in Australia each year! The project will be run in four stages beginning with community workshops, a local exhibition in May, which will lead to the winning artworks being sent on to feature in the Regional Exhibition to be held September 2025 in Dubbo.

GSC would like to invite all interested individual or groups of community members living in our Region to come along to the introductory Community Workshop to hear more about the competition, share ideas and create an entry.

When: Tuesday, 25 February 2025

Time: 4:00pm – 5:30pm

This workshop will be offered free to Gilgandra Region residents, and entry to the local Waste 2 Art Exhibition and Competition is free. For more information or to book your place in the Community Workshop please contact Council on (02) 6817 8800.
