To assist in planning our future as part of our Towards 5000 vision, and in collaboration with the 2034 Community Strategic Plan, Council is currently working on Green Space and Youth Strategies, and holding Summits to engage with the community. Consultants Better Cities Group and the University of Newcastle, are working with Council on these projects to ensure Gilgandra’s parks, sports fields and civic areas meet community needs now and into the future and to make Gilgandra a great place for our children and young people to live, today and tomorrow.
Council is seeking the community’s input - we want to hear from you about what you see as the needs, strengths, challenges and opportunities for Gilgandra’s green spaces and for our young people. Community consultations will be held on the following:
- Green Space Summit Consultation: Tuesday, 26 November 2024 5pm for 5.15pm start – 6.30pm @ Gilgandra Services Club
- Youth Summit: Tuesday, 3 December 2024, 5pm for 5.15pm start – 6.15pm @ Gilgandra Services Club or online
