Council's Christmas Closure Details 2024

Council wishes all residents a safe and merry Christmas, and a happy New Year! Office closure details are:

• The following Council offices and services will close at the end of business Friday, 20 December 2024 and re-open on Monday, 6 January 2025:
  • Council’s administration offices – Warren Road
  • Gilgandra Shire Library
  • Service NSW
  • Gilgandra Youth Services
  • Gilgandra Fitness Centre: Keyless toggle access is available during these dates and public holidays. Members, please check that your membership is up to date prior to closure
  • Gilgandra Housing and Homelessness Services: If you require Extension of Temporary Accommodation please call Homes NSW Dubbo Local Office on 6885 7111. If you require Emergency Accommodation, please call Link2Home on 1800 152 152.
• Gilgandra Waste Facility will be closed on 25 and 26 December 2024, and 1 January 2025.

  Open 10am-4pm on 23-24, 27-31 December 2024, and 2-3 January 2025. All kerbside waste and recycling services remain unchanged over the Christmas period.

• Community Care Office will be closed 25 and 26 December 2024, and 1 January 2025.
• Meals on Wheels: Clients have the option to receive a fresh meal delivered to their homes on Christmas Day, or be picked up to join the Jack Towney Hostel family for a meal. Those that normally receive a delivery on this day will be contacted directly by staff.
• The Coo-ee Heritage Visitors Information Centre will be closed on 25 December 2024, open 9.00am to 4.00pm all other days
• Gilgandra Swimming Pool will be closed on 25 and 26 December 2024 and 1 January 2025.
