NetWaste is a voluntary regional waste group formed in 1995 to provide collaborative approaches to waste and resource management.

The aim of NetWaste is to ensure essential waste service requirements are met and to deliver service efficiencies through regional contracts. NetWaste now delivers outcomes beyond regional service arrangements, through targeted waste management projects, education and community engagement programs.

Covering almost 40% of the state, benefits are delivered to 25 member councils in regional NSW including: Bathurst, Blayney, Blue Mountains, Bogan, Bourke, Brewarrina, Broken Hill, Cabonne, Central Darling, Cobar, Coonamble, Cowra, Dubbo Regional, Forbes, Gilgandra, Lachlan, Lithgow, Mid-Western, Narromine, Oberon, Orange, Parkes, Walgett, Warren, Warrumbungle, and Weddin.

Netwaste is responsible for a number of community initiatives in Gilgandra Shire including: Waste to Art, Love Food Hate Waste, and the annual Household Chemical Cleanout. Please visit their website for a range of educational information about recycling in our communities.
